(CUSAS)<\/b>&nbsp;is one of the newest research centers at the Institute of Asian Studies Center, Chulalongkorn University<\/p>\n<p><b>Mission:<\/b><br>Founded in 2017 to further Thailand\u2019s engagement with South Asia, the center aims to build interdisciplinary academic programs on diverse issues relevant to countries in the region, and their implications to Thailand and the ASEAN community.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: inherit;\">Through a community of stakeholders committed to building scholarship on South Asia, the center seeks to deepen knowledge about the region, to inform policy, and to engage with issues that are shaping South Asia today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: inherit;\"><b>Goals:<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"background-color: inherit;\">&#8211; Build<b> a body knowledge<\/b> about South Asia.<br><\/span><span style=\"background-color: inherit;\">&#8211; Build <b>a community of stakeholders<\/b> committed to scholarships on South Asia at Chulalongkorn University and in-region.<br><\/span><span style=\"background-color: inherit;\">&#8211; Facilitate <b>scholarly exchanges<\/b> among faculty and students, international South Asia specialists, visiting academics, and public figures from South Asia<br><\/span><span style=\"background-color: inherit;\">&#8211; Promote <b>people to people
